This year, 2025, marks the 35th anniversary of the Saskatchewan Volunteer Fire Fighters Association (SVFFA). Thirty-five years ago, a group of dedicated fire service members recognized a gap in training for volunteer firefighters across Saskatchewan. From that need, the SVFFA was born—with a mission to provide quality, competent  education and training to volunteer fire departments throughout the province.

Today, that mission remains as strong as ever. The SVFFA continues to support, train, and empower volunteer firefighters, and we are proud of the progress we’ve made. Our current Board of Directors is honored to carry on the legacy of those who came before us, and we are excited about the direction we’re heading as we continue to grow and evolve.

Our strength comes from our past, and our future is powered by the passion and dedication of our growing membership.

We invite everyone to join us in celebrating our 35th Anniversary this fall in Swift Current, during our Fall School, October 17–19. We look forward to seeing you there!
